【1】协议；协议书；协定

①【例】The duration of the trade is to be three years.

本贸易协定的期限规定为三年。

②可搭配使用不同的动词。例如：

【例】We are glad that we have come to [reached] an agreement.

我们很高兴，我们已达成协议（取得一致看法）。

③后面可接用on [upon, about] sth with sb.

【例】It seems to me it is difficult to come to an agreement on price with them.

我觉得很难同他们在价格上达成协议。

【2】同意；一致

【例】The contract can be renewed upon mutual agreement.

合同经双方同意后，可继续生效。

【3】in (with) agreement与……一致

①多用于表语中。

【例】It appears that our records are not in agreement.

看来我们双方的记录[档案]是互不一致的。

②agreement还可用full、exact之类的形容词修饰。

【例】The total amount is full agreement with that in the S/C.

总金额与售货确认书中总金额完全一致。

ahead

【1】在前；提前

【例】We are heavily booked with orders for months ahead.

我们接受订货很多，几个月以后的货都订出去了。

【2】ahead of  在……前；提前

① 【例】In order to augment the effect of this exhibition, we are contemplating a publicity drive ahead of the inauguration.

为了扩大展出效果，我们正在研究在开幕之前开展一次广告宣传活动。

②前面可用状语修饰。

【例】We wish to be able to ship the goods well ahead of the shipping schedule, but we cannot commit ourselves.

我们希望装货时间能比预定的装船计划大为提前，但不能就此承担责任。
