宣告

 

①只可接用一个宾语。

【例】The shipping company announced the ETA of the steamer.

船运公司宣布了该轮船预计到达时间。

 

不可接用双宾语，间接宾语前要用介词to。

 

②可接用that从句。

【例】We have to announce (to you) that our new price-list will be effected as from May 1, 2002.

我们宣布我方新的价格表，将于2002年5月1日实行。

announce后接用that从句时，其间接宾语前应加介词to，但间或也有不加to的。

困惑；使烦恼

 

句式：be annoyed (with sb.) for [at] sth.

【例】We are quite annoyed at being notified by our bank that our draft under your L/C No.345 has been refused by your bank.

自我方银行获悉，第345号信用证项下我方所开的汇票已被你方银行拒付，甚感困惑。

【例】We wish to express our regret for the annoyance this mistake has caused you.

对这一错误所引起的麻烦，我们表示歉意。

 

【2】烦恼的事

 

【例】The fluctuations of prices are great annoyance.
